Pastor Nicholas J. Guillaume was born in 1979 in Grand Forks, ND, to Ken and Joan Guillaume. The youngest of four children, Pastor Guillaume grew up in Sioux City, IA, where his father worked as an accountant for Terra Chemicals. His dad later worked as a systems analyst for MidAmerican Energy, and is now retired. His mom taught in the public school for many years, and since her retirement she spends most days with her grandchildren. Pastor Guillaume attended Nebraska Lutheran in Waco, NE, for high school. While at Nebraska Lutheran, he participated in basketball, track, and football. He also played in the high school band.

After high school Pastor Guillaume attended Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts. While in college Pastor Guillaume worked as the school’s Sports Information Director (SID), and still enjoys keeping track of all kinds of college sports. He also participated in a mission program called Travel-Canvass-Witness (TCW), and traveled to various parts of the country helping local churches with their community outreach.

After college Pastor Guillaume attended Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary (WLS) in Mequon, WI. At WLS, he spent three years as a seminary assistant at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church in Milwaukee, and three years working at the Seminary library. After a year’s internship in Hastings, MN (near St. Paul), he graduated with a Master of Divinity in 2005.

In May of 2005, Pastor Guillaume was assigned to serve at Luther Preparatory School, a small high school in Watertown, WI, to serve as a Tutor. There he taught the New Testament book of Acts and the Pauline Epistles to high school juniors. He also helped supervise the male students in the dormitories, coached track as an assistant, and directed youth mission trips to Atlanta and the Caribbean.

In May of 2007, Pastor Guillaume was called to serve as Pastor of Abiding Word in Maineville, OH. Education and Outreach are Pastor Guillaume’s ministry focus, but his responsibilities are all inclusive as the church’s pastor.
